Gary Gold says Bath Rugby are happy to have put Kyle Eastmond's walk-out at Sale Sharks behind them.
The England centre is in line to return to Bath's matchday squad for Sunday's Aviva Premiership trip to Wasps (2pm), two weeks after reportedly leaving the LV= Cup clash at the AJ Bell Stadium at half-time.
Eastmond, who hails from Oldham, was replaced by Matt Banahan at the interval and a story in The Times last week stated that he had driven home during the game.
Bath CEO Nick Blofeld confirmed on Saturday that Eastmond had been disciplined by the club.
The Times also claimed that the former St Helens ace wanted to return to rugby league but director of rugby Gold says Bath have been given no indication of that.
"Kyle is back in training and the matter has well and truly been put behind us," said Gold.
"We've had great chats with Kyle and through those conversations it has never come up that he doesn't want to play for Bath and doesn't want to play rugby union.
"We're really happy that we've moved on from it as swiftly as we have.
"It's brilliant having him out and training again at the moment. He's trained exceptionally well, so it's good to have him back.
"He is available for selection this weekend, as is everybody else who is fit in the squad."
Eastmond's contract is due to expire next year and Gold told the Chronicle that Bath wanted to keep him at The Rec beyond that.
He said: "Yes, we do. Kyle is a great guy, he's a wonderful rugby player, I don't think too many people dispute that, and at this moment in time we are really happy that Kyle is part of the club."
Eastmond joined Bath from Super League side St Helens in 2011 and made his name in his new code last season, culminating in a call-up to the England squad.
He made his Test debut in Argentina during the summer and is currently a member of England's Elite Player Squad.
A club statement released on Saturday confirmed that an incident had taken place at the Sale game but that the matter had been dealt with.
It said: "Contrary to current reports, Bath Rugby can confirm that Kyle Eastmond is still in contract with the club and is very much part of the squad.
"An incident arose at the Sale game last Friday which has led to an internal investigation, but this has been dealt with and both parties have put the matter behind them."
