Families have been exploring a weird and wonderful world at a Bath museum.

The Colourscape festival has returned to the Holburne Museum, featuring a programme of contemporary music and colour.

There are concerts, displays, workshops and performances on the front lawn at the Holburne until Monday, from 11am-4pm, with last admission at 3.15pm.

The focus of the festival is the Moonorooni structure, consisting of inflatable interconnected chambers flooded with intensely coloured light.

It has been described as a sensory experience, and like being "wrapped in a rainbow".

Resident composer Michael Ormiston is leading music and colour workshops this week for families and children.

Workshops suitable for all the family will run until tomorrow.

This coming weekend and the culmination of the festival will see Far Eastern music from HyperYak and new string music from Elysian Quartet.

Early arrival is recommended to avoid queuing.

Tickets are priced at £6 for adults, £3 for children or £15 for a family ticket.
