A teenage singer from Box is in the running to work on a new album due for release in the autumn.
Zara Dryden, 15, has entered the Bright Sparks Project which has seen Scouts from across the UK invited to submit an online singing entry.
The King Edward's School pupil, who is a member of Corsham Sea Squad Explorer Unit, now needs votes to give her a chance of winning.
Her mother Reba said: "She has been singing for only four years, but in that time has already progressed to Grade Six.
"Zara was also a runner up in last year's Box's Got Talent competition.
"She is incredibly shy and self-conscious, but underneath there is a mighty powerful voice."
Successful Bright Sparks singers win the chance to collaborate with well-known artists and celebrated music industry professionals in creating the first Bright Sparks album for release this autumn.
Entrants must promote their video in order to gather as many views as they can and climb the website's leader board.
When the competition phase ends, a panel of entertainment industry experts will vote for the winning Bright Sparks from the top tier on the leader board.
Zara's entry can be viewed at www.youtube.com/watch? v=1heg-xZGi4E&feature= youtu.be.
