Schoolchildren across Bath and north east Somerset have been saying farewell to long-serving teachers.
Members of staff at Combe Down Primary, Newbridge Primary, Southdown Infants, Bathampton Primary and St Mary's Primary, in Timsbury, have taught their last lesson and moved on to pastures new at the end of this term.
Bathampton head teacher Paul Falkus paid tribute to his long-serving deputy Vee Johnson.
He said: "Young people use the word legend quite freely but in our small corner of the world Vee is the closest we have to a living legend.
"I have heard Vee talking quite frequently but there are a few things that I have never heard her say. She has never once said "oh well, it doesn't really matter" because to her things really do.
"She cares passionately about education, about children succeeding, about music, about birds, about missing apostrophes. It makes her an excellent teacher."
He added: "She has helped our school go from strength to strength and helped make it the special place it is today."
Newbridge head teacher John Croker has left after seven years at the helm to become executive principal of a multi-academy trust in North Somerset, and will be replaced by Kristian Hancock.
Staff at Combe Down Primary held a tea party to say goodbye to teacher Sue Jemmett, who has retired after 29 years.
Over at Southdown Infant, teacher Linda Wright has left after serving for almost as long, 27 years.
Teaching assistant and dinner lady Iris Clarke is retiring after working at St Mary's Primary, in Timsbury, for the past 25 years.
Head teacher Alice Brown said: "We would like to say thank you to Iris for the fantastic contribution she has made to St Mary's during the last 25 years.
"There are many, many pupils who will have appreciated her calm and positive "can do" approach and many that have benefited enormously from her support and guidance.
"We are delighted however, that this will not quite be goodbye, for Iris will still be come in as a volunteer to listen to readers, once she has had a well-deserved holiday."
