Bath's Green Roof Singers are looking for enthusiastic singers and musicians of all abilities to join in their new promenade community singing event Outside the City Walls around the Snow Hill and London Road area of the city.
They will meet for 10 evening rehearsals and two weekends in August and September to learn five or six songs to perform outdoors around what they says is this 'unloved corner of Bath'.
The songs have been written by existing members of the group and range in style from acoustic pop to soulful blues.
Musical director, Katie Stone-Lonergan, has arranged each piece for three or four part harmonies and most will be sung a capella.
The singing group welcomes professionals and amateurs with no distinction between the two.
It's a great opportunity to work with a productive, well-established local theatre company.

There is a one off joining fee of £20 to help cover costs.
This will be payable after the first free rehearsal session.

Outside The City Walls is a weekend of creative celebration in the Snow Hill/London Road area of Bath.
The highlight will be a walking tour of the area open to the public.
This promenade will include the performance of several songs by The Green Roofs Singers, an informal choir with no auditions and where no previous experience being necessary.
The choir was named after the green roofs of the Snow Hill estate and sings new lyrics and songs written and composed by group members about the area in which members meet and sing.
Current members range from professional musicians to those who have never sung before, aged between 23 and 58.
Most rehearsals for the latest event are on Tuesday and Thursday nights in August and September. The last two weekends in September will be the dress rehearsal and the performances.
Rehearsals will take place at The Salisbury Club on the London Road, opposite Snow Hill.
The performances will take place outside around the neighbourhood.
