For the third year running, Next Stage Theatre Company is opening the doors of The Mission Theatre this August to all 11 to 16 year olds keen on developing their skills in the performing arts.
The STARS Summer School began in 2011 when artistic director Ann Garner decided that the fun and enjoyment experienced by Next Stage Youth – Next Stage's 60-strong Youth company – could be extended to all interested Bath youngsters using the bespoke facilities at The Mission Theatre in the Summer holidays.
The action-packed STARS which costs £150 targets a different performance skill each day, with informative, exciting and interactive workshops delivered by a team of top-class actors, choreographers, musicians and theatre practitioners.
Next Stage's fight choreographer Nicky Wilkins will be delivering a thrilling Bond-inspired day of stage combat.
Talented local company Novato Dance will be using innovative choreographers to introduce a whole range of dance styles.
Local teacher and musician Zoe Manifold will be working with the STARS team for the first time, leading a magical day of Musical Theatre.
