Claire Hedley and Dan Brown are among the regulars who have even more reason to raise a glass at their favourite watering hole after buying shares.
"We bought them jointly because we really like The Bell. It is such a unique place and will now be run by the same people," said Mr Brown, who runs the Bath in Time photo archive.
"It (owning shares in a pub) is a bit of a joke really because we don't drink very much."
Ms Hedley added: "I think if any community buyout was going to work it was going to be here because there is such a strong community here in Walcot Street and in The Bell."
Celebrities Robert Plant, Michael Eavis, Midge Ure and Peter Gabriel, pictured, were among the people who bought shares or sent words of support.
