The Peasedown loos are among a group which had been scheduled for closure next month, with others in Twerton and Combe Down also being axed.
Threatened loos in Weston have been saved until alternative facilities can be found, while those in Larkhall have been given a stay of execution until next April.
Campaigners in Larkhall have been heartened by the success of local councillors Dave Laming and Bryan Chalker (Ind, Lambridge) in persuading council chiefs to put the closure plans on hold. But they will be going ahead with statements at council meetings over the next two weeks, including a full B&NES meeting tonight, where they will also stage a protest.
Campaigner Lin Patterson said: "Although we are grateful for the efforts of our Lambridge ward councillors, it would be foolhardy to assume the toilets are safe. We need to persuade the full council that the whole policy of public toilet closure goes against everything they stand for. So it is not only Larkhall toilets which need to be saved, although that is our first priority, it is all the toilets earmarked for closure. People need them. I am hoping the cabinet will realise the critical public health, age and equality issues involved and reconsider. Then they can be resourceful and find savings in areas that are not so crucial to public wellbeing."
