People are being invited to have their say as the next phase of the Bath Western Riverside development is revealed.

The next phase will include three large apartment blocks, similar in appearance to existing buildings at the site, accommodating 270 new homes, communal courtyard gardens and undercroft car parking. Up to 70 apartments will be designated as affordable.

Crest Nicholson Regeneration, the developer behind the £400 million BWR scheme, intends to submit a detailed planning application this summer.

The development, which has been almost ten years in the making, will eventually include 2,281 homes and apartments, as well as a primary school, shops, restaurants and an energy centre. So far 300 homes have been built.

Managing director of Crest Nicholson Debbie Aplin said: "Bath Riverside is continuing to evolve and has already created its own unique identity within the city. We intend to create these new homes following the same design principles, complementing the existing buildings as the site progresses."

An exhibition of the next phase will be held at Green Park Brasserie next Friday between 3pm and 7pm. Members of the public will be able to talk to representatives from Crest Nicholson and leave feedback. For all the latest on the development follow @bwrnews on Twitter.
