A primary school choir from Bath has been busy rehearsing ahead of its visit to Germany to perform at Braunschweig Cathedral.
The children from St Andrew's Primary School are able to make the trip thanks to a 5,000 euro donation from an anonymous well- wisher last year.
Since then they have been preparing and raising extra money for the tour by singing at St Swithin's Church, in Walcot, and in a lunchtime concert at Bath Abbey, hosted by the rector the Reverend Prebendary Edward Mason.
Mr Mason said: "It's wonderful how a twinning visit from Braunschweig Cathedral could set in motion a chain of events which has led to this wonderful opportunity for the St Andrew's Primary School choir."
The group will leave for Germany on Tuesday and their itinerary includes a morning of lessons and a concert at a local primary school, tours of the historic buildings in the heart of Braunschweig, a civic reception and a public concert at Braunschweig Cathedral.
