Tonight sees the biggest free part of the year when the International Music Festival's Party in the City officially launches this year's festival.
Throughout the evening thousands of local musicians will be performing in venues all over the city.
The evening kicks off in carnival style with hundreds of school children, students from Bath Spa University and musicians parading through the centre of Bath.
The colourful and lively spectacle will include new music created by award winning composer Stephen Deazley plus original artwork on the festival's theme of monsters as well as dance, movement and music from the hundreds of participants.
The parade will lead to a performance of The Little Book of Monsters at Bath Abbey.
You can then visit venues across the city where a huge variety of music will be playing from rock to classical and from jazz to swing and everything in between.
