Alex Carter was in a class of his own as he set a new course record in the May edition of the Running Bath 2013 5k road race series.
The Team Bath teenager's time of 15mins 26secs was seven seconds inside the old record and a massive 56 seconds faster than the existing aged-17 standard.
With Carter leading from gun to tape, it was left to Matt Maynard and Steven Curtis to battle it out for second place, with the former taking the honours in 16:38.
That sliced 41 seconds off his personal best and was seven seconds faster than Curtis, who also went quicker than he had before.
Leading the over-40s home was Steve Rose in 17:53, six seconds ahead of Luke Sturgess-Durden, and David Vaudin continued to dominate the over-50 age group by finishing in 18:02.
Dave Gunstone, last year's age-group champion, was runner-up in 19:02 and George Chapman finished second to Carter in the under-20s category in 17:29, beating his previous best by 22 seconds.
Jo Mumford was first lady home in 21:14, with Zina Marchant second in 22.13.
Matt Maynard was the most improved runner and other bests were set by George Frost, Josh Taylor, Louis Gillow, Marcus Wiltshire, Peter Nisato, Romek Kriwald, Craig Chapman and Pip Colles.
