Combe Down RFC under-16s capped off a fine couple of weeks by taking home not just the Avon 7s Cup but the Plate as well.
After returning from Amsterdam as runners-up at the Hilversum International Rugby Festival, the Downers have now captured three trophies ahead of their Somerset Cup final clash with Winscombe at Taunton RFC on Sunday.
Down 1sts were given a close game by their 2nd-team club-mates on their way to victory, eventually winning 24-17. They went on to defeat Stothert & Pitt 40-17 in the final.
Down 2nds beat hosts Avon 24-12 in the Plate final.
