Bitton reclaimed a top-six place in the Toolstation League Premier Division with a 1-0 away win over relegation-threatened Wells City.
The game started well for the home side and they were unlucky not to take a 15th-minute lead when Tom Manning's free-kick was headed against the post by Ryan Crowther.
Wells again went close midway through the opening half when a Manning corner found the head of Toby Cole but his goalbound effort was cleared off the line.
Bitton gradually took a hold of the game, though, and Wells keeper Adam Clark did well to deny Mark Salter a goalscoring opportunity.
Wells started the second half brightly, with both Manning and Cole going close again, but it was Bitton who ended the game strongest and they grabbed the all-important goal three minutes from time.
Clark did well to deny Salter with a smart block but the ball broke loose for George Lloyd to tuck home.
Odd Down's winless run was extended to six games as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw at fellow mid-table outfit Buckland Athletic, with Kai Simpson on target for the visitors.
They are away to fifth-placed Cadbury Heath on Wednesday evening.
