Vintage is definitely in vogue.
Once frowned upon, secondhand clothes are now recognised as individual, high quality alternatives to the high street.
A firm favourite with fashion trendsetters and celebrities alike, no red carpet is complete without an actress turning heads in a gorgeous vintage frock.
And at this year's Bath in Fashion event (which runs from April 13-21) will be paying homage to styles form the past in a special Vintage Weekend (April 20 and 21).
Bath athlete Heather Fell, who won a silver medal for Modern Pentathlon in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, is a particular fan of vintage style. She has already followed the city's "vintage trail", visiting shops specialising in vintage clothing to create stunning looks inspired by fashions of the past.
She said: "My love of vintage comes from wanting clothes that are not only unique but are also so well made.
"Many items have been lovingly hand crafted and from such gorgeous fabrics, they weren't mass produced like so many high street labels today.
In Bath we are spoilt for choice with such a wide range of wonderful vintage shops selling both clothes and interiors.
"It is just another reason to support Bath's local independent shops."
Events taking place over the Bath in Fashion Vintage Weekend include:
Vintage Magic with Jo Barnfield
