Floristry students from Bath have been invited to showcase their talents at two of the country's biggest flower shows.
The team from the City of Bath College will be creating eye-catching displays at Tatton Park and Hampton Court Flower Shows, which are prestigious events attracting tens of thousands of people from across the globe.
The students impressed judges and won the chance to enter both Royal Horticultural Society shows in the first year they had been invited to apply.
Floristry tutor Louise Rawlings said they had their work cut out because the shows were only a couple of weeks apart, but everyone was ready to rise to the challenge.
She said: "It was an honour just to be invited to apply, but to get a place at both shows is absolutely huge.
"It reflects really well on the national reputation of the college's floristry department. We couldn't believe it when we got both letters on the same day."
She added: "Everyone is so excited, it's a real privilege for us all and it's going to be great for the students.
"They can proudly put these prestigious flower shows on their CVs."
The theme for the Hampton Court show, which takes place in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace in London from July 4 to 14, is 'Vintage 50s' and Bath will be one of six colleges taking part.
Students will be exhibiting a floral display of a 1950s living room, which will include an armchair, cabinet, coffee table and lampshade covered in flowers and leaves, plus a seeded rug, some 'living' floral wallpaper and a male mannequin wearing a tank-top made out of flowers.
Meanwhile the college's 2m x 2.5m display at the historic estate of Tatton Park in Knutsford, Cheshire, from July 25 to July 28 will have an astronomy feel to it as the show's theme is The Galaxy.
The idea is to create a black and white floral display called Orbit of the Galaxy to represent the planets and shooting stars.
There will be black stands and vases filled with white flowers, surrounded by fairy lights.
The shows follow the department's recent success in the Chelsea Florist of the Year competition in 2011 and 2012.
