A section of the M4 near Bristol is likely to be closed for most of the day after one person died in a collision.
The road was closed after a crash east of the Second Severn Crossing between junctions 21 and 20.
Police said the crash involved two lorries and that one person had died.
They said the road would be closed for a "significant" part of the day.
Police urged motorists to avoid the area and said the M49 should be used as an alternative.
A vehicle fire also closed two lanes of the M4 westbound today.
Traffic was held up on the M32 and queues stretched back to junction 18 at Bath.
