Campaigners hoping to protect The Bell Inn have almost reached their £500,000 target.
The Bell Inn Community Buyout has until Wednesday to reach its target through the sale of shares in the business.
Last month members of the community buyout launched a share offer for local people to buy into the pub, which is up for sale for £925,000. Shares have been on offer from between £500 and £20,000.
The community buyout hope to raise £500,000 and find the rest of the money through a loan from the bank.
General manager at the Bell Inn, Patrick Cave, said: "It's all going very well - money is flowing in.
"We are now at £473,636 so we are absolutely going to get to the half million without a problem. I would urge anyone who has missed the boat to dust their cheque books off."
In the last two weeks a list of who's who from the music world has pledged either money or given words of encouragement to the community buyout including the likes of Robert Plant, Midge Ure, Michael Eavis and Peter Gabriel.
Mr Cave said: "With such a short time period to run a share offer it was crucial to keep the media presence as high as possible.
"If you have someone like Robert Plant investing in The Bell it will certainly encourage other people."
