A Bath author has written a book to help parents potty train their children.
Jacqueline Coe has shared her tips in her book The Intelligent Parent's Guide to Faster Potty Training.
It reveals the process that parents should go through when potty training their children, making it easier for both parties.
Mrs Coe said: "The book contains a new and innovative approach to potty training, while at the same time, it will prepare you so that you are confident to guide your child through the process.
"It's about putting potty training into perspective and showing you how to avoid the pitfalls created by myths, guilt and the power game, to the benefits of being able to free up time to enjoy your child and parenting too.
"It's about explaining the importance of your preparation in being ready and able to guide your child through the process.

Her top five tips to make potty training easier are:
â Avoid it being an upsetting experience for your child each time the potty is brought out or needed.
â Make sure if you are having a bad day it does not continue with potty training, and don't let the child feel bad if they get it wrong.
â Do not show signs of frustration with your child or the process.
â Understand that potty training is only about why, when and how to use the potty when needed. It's not about being on alert each and every moment of every day throughout the whole process.
â Avoid portraying an attitude of doom and gloom or turning the day into a battle each and every time the potty is needed. Whenever there is a problem, always find and choose a way to keep it light.
