Eilidh Child believes she is on course to "drop some really good times" this summer after wrapping up her indoor season with gold and silver medals at the European Championships.
The 26-year-old, who trains at the University of Bath, was runner-up in the 400m behind Perri Shakes-Dratyon before teaming up with her compatriot to win relay gold alongside Shana Cox and Christine Ohuruogu.
Child's time of 51.45 in the individual race was her fourth personal best of the season and saw her smash the Perth-born runner smash the Scottish record once more.
"I'm over the moon," said the hurdles specialist. "It was a PB and I can't ask for any more than that, especially after back-to-back races, so I'm delighted.
"It just shows the flat speed is there, so it's just a case of getting the hurdling right and we'll drop some really good times this season."
Child led off the British relay team in Gothenburg, establishing an early advantage which they never let slip as they came home in a new championship record of 3mins 27.56.
"The adrenalin kept us going and no-one wanted to let each other down," she said. "We wanted to do well and come home with the gold."
Child was due to be joined in Sweden by Andy Pozzi, who trains alongside her as part of Malcolm Arnold's hurdling group at the university.
However, Pozzi – who was among the favourites for 60m hurdles gold – was forced to withdraw due to the hamstring injury he picked up during the European Trials last month.
"Unfortunately my hamstring still isn't right for me to be able to race," he said. "I'm bitterly disappointed but now my focus is ensuring I'm healthy and ready to go when the outdoor season starts."
