A study by researchers at the University of Bath has found that moderate exercise can help to improve the quality of life for people with Type 2 diabetes.
Bath academic Professor Conrad Earnest is part of a team of scientists from Bath and the USA which looked at the benefits of aerobic and resistance training in individuals with the disease.
The group reported in a paper published in the journal Diabetes Care that even a small change in lifestyle can improve quality of life and mental health.
More than 240 sedentary, overweight adults between the ages of 30 and 75 took part in a nine-month study for the team.
