Communities in and around Bath have been dealing with the aftermath of some of the worst flooding the region has seen in years.
The extreme wet weather began during the middle of last week with heavy rain falling almost non-stop on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Water levels on the River Avon rose exceptionally high, particularly to the west and east of the city with fields at Keynsham turned into lakes and roads around Holt and Bradford on Avon submerged.
Pulteney Weir disappeared under the rising water level and fire crews were called out to help rescue a boat which began listing near Green Park Road after the river rose higher than the slack which had been left on the mooring ropes.
At one point, there were fears that Churchill Bridge might have to be shut.
Going to and from Bathford involved a long diversion when the main A363 became impassable towards the end of the weekend and part of the A431 at Swineford was shut for most of the beginning of this week.
Some motorists ignored the many safety warnings, with a video posted on YouTube by keen photographer Lauren Tucker showing drivers ploughing on through a flooded Pennyquick being viewed by more than 10,000 people.
An appeal has gone out for volunteers to help with the clear-up operation at Claverton Pumping Station, which was undergoing a restoration project to restore its waterwheel, but has been partly underwater.
