Somerset CCC to take on Yorkshire at Bath's Recreation Ground in August

Somerset County Cricket Club have confirmed they will be returning to Bath this summer. Fixtures involving the Cidermen in the city have been a tradition for more than 100 years but last year's wet weather put paid to their annual visit. This season's match will see Somerset take on Yorkshire at The Rec in the newly-named Yorkshire Bank 40-over competition on Thursday, August 15. Tickets go on sale on Monday, March 4 and will cost £20 in advance for adults and £3 for juniors. They will be available in reception of the Andrew Caddick Pavilion at Taunton between 9am-5pm from Monday to Friday, by calling 0845 337 1875 or via www.somersetcricketclub.co.uk. As it is a midweek fixture demand for hospitality packages will be high and availability limited. Anyone interested in hospitality can contact Sam McIntyre on 01823 425323 or email samm@somersetcountycc.co.uk. Somerset will also be heading south this summer to play a competitive fixture in Cornwall, taking on the Unicorns in the YB40 at Truro CC on Friday, June 14. It will be the first time that Somerset have played a match in Cornwall since the counties met in a T20 challenge match in August 2008.
