Castle Combe were knocked out of the AM Print & Copy A&B Cup in the Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories-sponsored Trowbridge & District League when lower-league The Lamb recorded an emphatic 4-0 away win.
The result can only be seen as a minor a shock, however, with Combe currently rock bottom in Division 1, while The Lamb sit second in Division 2.
The writing looked on the wall for Combe early on when they had a man sent off for a deliberate handball. Sam Stevens punished the hosts with a brilliant hat-trick, although he also missed a penalty, while Tom Blackman completed the rout.
Freshford boosted their Division 1 title ambitions with an impressive 3-0 victory at near-neighbours Bradford United to climb to second in the table.
The home side had been looking to maintain their recent revival with a third straight win but Steve Roddy's double and a Mark Birleson strike earned Freshford the points.
The visitors owe a big debt to Chris Birleson for the victory, with the goalkeeper saving Mark Maguire's penalty when the score was 2-0.
