Klein-Davies winner beats Bradford as Odd Down edge into Les Phillips Cup last eight

Josh Klein-Davies bagged a winner deep into extra time as Odd Down edged an 11-goal thriller against lower-league Bradford Town to book a place in the Les Phillips Cup quarter-finals. The Downers were indebted to Klein-Davies' heroics throughout at Trowbridge Road, with the striker netting a hat-trick as the Toolstation Premier Division outfit were pushed all the way. Liam Milburn's own goal and a Twaine Plummer header had put Terry Moore's side comfortably ahead but Nick Rideout and Jake Hiscocks soon restored parity. Klien-Davies then netted his first two goals of the day before Rideout got his second as Bradford hit back again. Kye Simpson brought the first half to a close, putting the Downers 5-3 ahead. Second-half strikes from Town's Martin Johnson and Nick Ross saw the game head into extra time, but the home side's hopes for a famous comeback win were thwarted when Klein-Davies completed his treble at the death. Bitton's hopes of a last-eight spot were ended with a 2-1 defeat at home to Melksham Town, with Ashley Barnet grabbing both the visitors' goals. George Lloyd had an early strike ruled out for the home side, who were made to pay for failing to take their chances as Jason Llama and Guy Cox both hit the woodwork. A quickfire double from Barnet early in the second half put the visitors in control, with James Pilling's spot-kick following a foul on Mitch Tippens coming too late to salvage Bitton's chances.
