The latest plans for the redevelopment of the former Cadbury factory at Keynsham will be put on display this month.
Housebuilder Taylor Wimpey has been fine-tuning its proposals for the 225-acre site at Somerdale, where chocolate production ceased two years ago.
Its latest plans for 700 new homes and employment space will be displayed at a public exhibition at Keynsham Methodist Church on February 19 and 20.
The firm, which has worked on the project for more than a year, wants to put in a planning application to B&NES Council next month.
It has staged two design workshops and a previous exhibition attended by more than 1,000 people.
Its project director Adrian Slade said: "The feedback from the workshops and the exhibition provided us with a clear insight into local people's concerns and aspirations. The latest plans are the culmination of a great deal of time and investment by ourselves and most importantly, the local community."
The firm, which says its scheme could create 1,000 new jobs, has proposed a riverside walk to the rest of the town, allowing walking and cycling along that stretch of the Avon for the first time ever.
There will be new areas of public open space including a new wetland zone.
The Fry Club will move into a new building and there will be new sports pitches.
Other components of the redevelopment include a 210-place primary school, a care home and a riverside café and community meeting place.
Access to the site will be improved by creating a new road layout and signal-controlled junction at the entrance.
The exhibition will be open to the public on each day from 2.30pm until 8pm.
