The civic recycling centre at Midland Bridge in Bath will reopen on Monday after the completion of repair work.
The council-run centre was closed by Bath and North East Somerset Council for around two months to allow work on its floor and walls.
Council cabinet member for neighbourhoods Councillor David Dixon (Lib Dem, Oldfield) said: "The council would like to thank residents for their patience whilst the repairs were carried out. Although they may not notice any changes when the centre reopens, the repair work was essential to make the site safe for staff and residents. We'd like to encourage everyone across the area to make full use of our recycling centres over the festive season, when we're all likely to produce more recycling and rubbish."
The centre's opening hours until the end of March are: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.15pm; Saturday, 9am to 3.45pm and Sunday 9am to 1pm.
The centre - and others run by B&NES - will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
People can recycle more than 35 different materials at the centres including garden waste, fridges, all electrical items, cooking oil, tyres, and furniture. More information can be found at www.bathnes.gov.uk/wasteservices.
