The parents of Harmonie-Rose Allen have posed for their own pink bow selfie.

Pink bows have been appearing across Bath over the last few weeks as the city get's behind the fundraising appeal for little Harmonie-Rose.

And now they are taking over social media as people pose for "selfie" pictures with their pink bows.

Last night parents Freya and Ross posed for their own picture and shared the image online.

The picture comes after Freya spoke of Harmonie-Rose's improving condition on Friday night.

She said: "Couldn't be more proud of my girl, doctors said her kidneys wouldn't work they are on the road to recovery, doctors said that she might not be able to see but she focuses on absolutely everything, doctors said she might not hear she might not have full hearing but she turns to sound, doctors said she wouldn't babble she said her name and mum, doctors said she might not be able to suck... She's sucking her teat, doctors said she might not swallow and she's been swallowing, doctors said she might not have control of her head she sure knows how to hold her head up especially when food is involved, doctors said she night not have the core strength but sat up for a small amount of time today, doctors said that she wouldn't survive - she's still here and fighting strong I'm so proud and amazed at the fight in such a young little baby."

The news that Harmonie-Rose had been struck down by the illness, and that doctors have told her parents that they will have to remove her arms and legs has prompted a huge fundraising appeal in Bath with the city raising £10,000 in just a week.

Taking inspiration from previous online fundraisers, we are calling on Bathonians – and anyone else who wants to support Harmonie-Rose Allen, to do your bit and help raise money that will change the life of the little girl.

The pink bow has become a symbol for Harmonie-Rose, the Foxhill youngster who is currently in Bristol Children's Hospital battling the effects of meningitis.

The idea is simple: take a selfie with a pink bow, post it online, make a donation to the fundraising effort and nominate someone else to do the same.

And don't forget to use #hope4harmonie so her family see your picture.

There are many ways you can donate to the appeal after sharing your selfie
