Hurricane Gonzalo hit the UK with heavy rain showers last night, and is causing disruption to flights at Heathrow.
Around 10 per cent of flights with the 20 biggest aeroplanes flying in and out of Heathrow will be cancelled.
The Met Office is predicting gales for all parts of Bath and South West England today. It will be noticeably colder than yesterday, with squally showers and a risk of hail and thunder through the day.
Tonight the showers will become more isolated, with clear skies developing overnight. It will be cold with grass frost possible in rural places. Winds will ease later in the night.
Hurricane Gonzalo began east of the Caribbean Sea on October 12.
It has created damage in Antigua and Saint Martin, where one person died, and has affected Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Bermuda.
