I wish to disagree absolutely with Hugo Jenks on the Wilmington Farm solar project.
The project is good value for residents as it generates a good rate of return on a capital investment.
It is good news for communities and fuel poor households who will benefit from the community grants from the profit.
It is fantastic news for the environment as it helps our area meet its carbon reduction targets and shows we are developing alternatives to fracking in BathNES. And finally it enables one of the most innovative and progressive community energy companies in the country to continue growing.
As Hugo Jenks directly attacked my Liberal Democrat Cabinet I would like to say that we got support for this project from across the political spectrum but I am delighted that my administration is leading the way locally in growing income, supporting local enterprise and tackling climate change.
