Two teenage Bath CC stars have scooped honours at their respective county awards evenings.
George Hankins was named the under-17 player of the season when the annual Gloucestershire Young Cricketers Presentation Evening took place at Bristol's County Ground.
Hankins' all-round contribution and captaincy of the side was praised by under-17s coach Tim Hancock.
"With 355 in five innings – two of which were not out – combined with some very tidy offspin and outstanding fielding, George has a very bright future," said Hancock.
"His 179 not out against Somerset was a faultless display of batting.
"He also captained the side intelligently and with the minimum of fuss and is respected by team-mates and opponents alike."
Somerset CCC held their 2014 Awards Ball at Taunton's Colin Atkinson Pavilion, with the legendary Joel Garner among the 250 guests.
Among the winners – which featured 1st XI stars Alfonso Thomas and Peter Trego – was Bath's Tim Rouse, who won the Tom Pearce Award for academy/2nd XI player of the season.
