Lessons at Ralph Allen School took on a multicultural agenda last week as pupils took part in a European week of languages.
Students are able to study Spanish, French, and German, as well as Mandarin in a new club which started in September. To celebrate, teachers from the languages department provided staff with activities to incorporate into their lessons.
Some students were taught the art of flamenco dancing and the catering team took up the theme, offering European dishes at lunchtime.
On Friday, for the grand finale of the week, languages staff wore fancy dress representing a country of their choice.
Susanne Godwin, head of modern foreign languages, said: "We firmly believe that languages open doors and broaden horizons."
