Karim Benzema could be set for a move from Real Madrid to Liverpool – although the Reds may need to wait until the summer of 2015.
According to Spanish website fichajes.net, Brendan Rodgers is hoping to bring in the French hitman as he looks to bolster a strikeforce that lost Luis Suarez to Barcelona in the close season.
Benzema's Bernabeu contract does not expire until 2019 but he is thought to be unsettled and faces fresh competition for his place from Javier Hernandez.
But Real are not likely to sell him in the January transfer window, meaning Liverpool might have to wait almost a year to land their man.
