Colombia World Cup midfielder Fredy Guarin has rejected a move from Inter Milan to Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg as he waits for Manchester United to come in with a £10million bid.
Reports in Italy say Guarin – who was benched for Inter's Europa League match against Stjarnan in midweek – does not want to go to Russia and instead wants to join Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford.
United are looking for midfield reinforcements following injuries to Michael Carrick and new signing Ander Herrera.
Brazilian Anderson is also set to leave United and return to former club FC Porto in Portugal, according to the Daily Mirror.
