They may be set to complete a £16million deal for AC Milan and Italy World Cup striker but Liverpool have a back-up in place in case the move falls through – Cameroon's Samuel Eto'o.
The Daily Star report that former Chelsea forward Eto'o – who won the Champions League with Barcelona and Inter Milan– has undergone a medical in Paris, where is currently living.
Eto'o is currently without a club after being released by Jose Mourinho in the summer.
