Athlete Jo Pavey, who used to work as a physiotherapist at Bath's Royal United Hospital, has become the oldest woman ever to claim gold at a European Championships.
The 40-year-old stormed home in the 10,000m in Zurich last night, crediting her years of experience in running for her success.
Despite giving birth to her youngest child Emily only 11 months ago, she completed the race in a winning time of 32 minutes 22.39 seconds.
Pavey worked at the RUH in 1995 and 1996.
Today, the hospital tweeted its congratulations to the ex-employee.
