According to reports Liverpool have made an inquiry about Real Madrid's 22-year-old Spanish midfielder Isco, after the La Liga giants signed World Cup winner Toni Kroos, 24, and Colombia star James Rodriguez, 23.
Liverpool are close to signing another player from Southampton this summer as they close in on a deal for Dejan Lovren. The 25-year-old Croatian centre-back is on course to complete a £20m move, and will join former Saints team mates Ricky Lambert and Adam Lallana at Anfield. Loic Remy is also set to complete a move to Brendan Rodgers' side from QPR for a fee of around £8m.
Manchester City defender Micah Richards wants to force a loan move out of the club after failing to attract transfer interest from other clubs. Richards, 26, is valued at £7m and has one year left on his contract at the Etihad stadium.
QPR continue to show interest in Cardiff City defender Steven Caulker, 22, but may have to hold off Southampton. Caulker is believed to be monitoring the interest in him before making a decision. A fee has been agreed between QPR and Cardiff.
Arsenal have been linked with Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho. Arsenal have been told they will have to pay at least £24m for the 22-year-old defender as it appears Belgium international Thomas Vermaelen is on his way out of the club. Arsene Wenger said to expect some transfer activity following their 2-0 pre-season friendly win against Boreham Wood.
