Due to the rise in popularity of fruit flavoured wines across Europe, Bath based Spanish tapas bar and restaurant, La Tasca, is responding to research suggesting that Sangria will soon become "on trend" in global markets[1] through the launch of its new range of Sangria cocktails.
Sangria taps into a number of drink trends, which are currently growing across the UK: a preference for sweeter, refreshing, fruitier flavours, an interest in alcohol category blurring (Sangria often involves wine and another spirit such as brandy), and, lastly, an interest in drinks with a rich social history.
Created in-house, drawing inspiration from the team's numerous trips to the Mediterranean and launched during the height of British summer, La Tasca's new range of Sangria cocktails aims to transport the residents of Bath on a journey to the Spanish sun, and prove that a traditional Spanish tipple can be enjoyed at home in the UK.
James Picton, Operations Director at La Tasca Restaurants, commented:
"Sangria has recently enjoyed something of a renaissance, with demand by customers constantly increasing. As the La Tasca brand is all about having fun, the decision to launch our Sangria cocktail menu to ensure the very best Sangria offering was an easy one. We can't wait to have our bars and terraces filled with happy customers, sampling a Sangria or two and enjoying our award-winning menu."
