Dan Williams blasted a brilliant 172 as Hampset recorded their second home win of the Bristol & District League Division 2 season against Frampton Cotterell.
Williams hit 16 fours and 11 sixes in a 113-ball knock. He received support from Jon Solly (31) and Simon Nottingham (29) as Hampset amassed 300-6 in 45 overs.
Second-placed Frampton struggled to reach the tempo of the Hampset innings in reply.
Tim Mason scored 50 but received little support as Williams took 2-37, Matt Hill 2-45, Sam Marquiss 2-26 and Phil Bradfield 3-14.
Hampset 2nds got back to
winning ways against Frys. After deciding to bowl first, Hampset made early inroads into the home side's batting with some miserly bowling from Dave Marquiss, who took 2-25 in 12 overs.
The middle order rallied and a half-century from Nick Murphy took the final score to 187-8. Kit Pearson took 3-45 and Mark Matthews 3-43.
Hampset scored only eight in their first 12 overs in reply but the dismissal of Adrian Jeffrey saw Dan Roberts came to the crease and he and Winston Duguid increased the run-rate against the change bowlers.
Roberts was eventually dismissed for 51while Duguid's 94 not out carried Hampset to a seven-wicket win with three overs remaining.
