The Museum of Bath at Work is hosting a new exhibition to mark the centenary of the beginning of the First World War.
Home Fires: Bath and the First World War will open on Tuesday, August 5, and look exclusively at the city's response and reaction to the pressure of war during the four years of conflict.
The displays will feature never before published images from private collections, and the museum will hold three lectures on different aspects of the First World War in Bath to run alongside the exhibition.
The exhibition will also include contributions from Dr Andrew Swift, the leading expert on the First World War in this area, accompanied by a lecture from Dr Swift on August 7.
Entrance to the exhibition, which will be held in the museum's Hudson Gallery, will be included in the museum's ticket price and run until November 2014.
The evening lectures will cost £5 each and run on August 7, 21 and 28 at 7.30pm.
