Welcome to the weekend and the cyclical nature of television betrays itself once again, kicking off at 7.15 pm with another round of Britain's Got Talent on ITV.
We're still in the point and laugh rounds so there's plenty of cheap laughs to be had at the expense of the general public.
This is followed at 8.30pm by everyone's ageism tribunal in the making, Amazing Greys.
At this point you could switch over to BBC 2 for some live Snooker or turn to Channel 4 who are showing Paul Greengrass' thriller Green Zone which is edge of your seat brilliant.
Over on BBC 4 at 9pm with have Blackfish, a harrowing documentary about a performing killer whale that turned on it's trainers, killing the three of them.
The film examines the orca's time in captivity and how the experience may have influenced its behaviour, as well as revealing how financial pressures in the wildlife park industry can lead to cruel treatment of the animals. It's a real eye opener and very well produced.
Being the internet age and all that it'd be remiss of me not to mention all the great shows on Netflix.
In among the repeats of series that aired on regular TV over the years, Netflix also commission shows that are just for them. Today's recommendation is Orange is the New Black.
Set in an American women's prison, OITNB follows Piper Chapman, a woman convicted of a minor drug offense committed years before.
In there she experiences a life that clashes dramatically with the life she's used to.
The first season is on Netflix with the second being released at the beginning of June.
It's very well written with plotlines that follow the lives of the inmates inside prison as well as showing us who they were before they were locked up.
It has a great cast and a season finale that will leave you hungry for more.
