Winger Semesa Rokoduguni is unavailable for Bath Rugby's crucial Aviva Premiership clash at home to Northampton Saints on Friday night and will instead play for the British Army the following day.
Fijian-born Rokoduguni has served as a tank soldier with the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards since 2007 and will play in the annual match against the Navy at Twickenham on Saturday.
Earlier this year, 26-year-old Rokoduguni was called up to the Saxons squad after qualifying on residency grounds. His selection made him the first serving soldier to be called up by England since Tim Rodber and Josh Lewsey.
Matt Garvey also looks set to miss out against Saints after the flanker had to be helped from the field in the closing stages of Sunday's Amlin Cup semi-final success over Wasps.
There is some good news for Bath, however, as England lock Dave Attwood is fit to return to the squad after missing the match at Adams Park.
Bath head coach Mike Ford said: "Roko is playing for the Army on Saturday against the Navy but Dave Attwood is good to go, so it is one in and one out."
Bath currently sit third in the Premiership table and can guarantee themselves a top-four finish and place in the end-of-season play-offs with victory over second-placed Northampton on Friday.
Ironically, Bath side will also face Saints in the Amlin Cup final at Cardiff Arms Park next month and the two teams could also meet in the Premiership play-offs.
Although a trophy double is still on for Bath, boss Ford says his side are only focussing their attentions on this weekend's match.
"We can't look any further ahead because if we do Northampton will give us a good hiding on Friday," said Ford.
"It's a five-day turnaround so we just need to get fresh.
"We've got confidence going into that game. The Rec will be a full house and screaming with the Blue, Black and White all behind us."
