Hundreds of churchgoers gathered in the centre of Bath on Good Friday to celebrate Easter.
Around 500 people congregated outside the Abbey for a short service after walking through the city from different churches for the annual Way of the Cross.
The event involved crosses being carried from Weston Methodist, St Stephen's, Larkhall United Reformed Church, St Thomas' and St Peter and St Paul Catholic Church to the city centre. The processions stopped along the way to hear different parts of the Easter story.
David Pendle, who is from Bath Churches Together - the umbrella organisation that organises the Easter event, said this year had seen the event's biggest crowds.
"We've moved on in Bath. We used to talk about churches doing things together but now we talk about Christians doing things together - we are one community and that's what this morning was about."
Jenny Gilbert, 55, attends St Swithin's Church on Walcot Street.
"First and foremost it's about faith but I've met up with so many people and friends from other churches - it's good to see everyone. It's about coming together, different denominations, which is lovely."
Beryl Strange, 77 from St Luke's Church, said the event helped keep the Christian faith alive in the city.
"There's a lot of evil in they city so we need events like this to remind us of Jesus' love."
