Bath Rugby season ticket holder Jim Sims honoured for half a century of support

Bath Rugby season ticket holder Jim Sims has been honoured by the club for more than 50 years of loyal support. Former Bath player and the club's current communications director, David Flatman, was on hand to make a surprise presentation to Mr Sims, 63, at his workplace at Wainwright quarry near Radstock last week. Bath born Mr Sims, who also worked for Butler and Tanner in Frome for 28 years, is a lifelong rugby fan and bought his first season ticket as a 13-year-old in 1963 at the cost of five shillings.
