A new landlord is hoping to bring some Irish charm to a Bath pub.
Michael Dempsey is the new man behind the bar at The Ram on Widcombe Parade.
The Irishman, who has worked in pubs for almost 20 years as well as in property development, took over the Enterprise Inn pub last month.
"It's been really good so far. The pub's great and the customers are lovely – I couldn't have asked for better."
The Ram is to get a fresh coat of paint and new signs and Mr Dempsey, 46, has also reopened its kitchen offering lunches, evening meals and Sunday roasts.
"This is a very traditional pub, and a rugby pub, and I don't want to change that but it does need a tidy-up and a bit of loving care."
Mr Dempsey added that The Ram would be relaunching its weekly quiz night, live music and an open mic night.
