Kensington Palace has revealed that Prince George's new nanny trained at Norland College in Bath.
Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo has already started working for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and will accompany the family on their upcoming trip to New Zealand and Australia next month.
The palace has asked for her private life to be respected.
A spokesman said: "As an employee of the Royal Household we would ask, please, that Maria's privacy, and that of her family and friends, be respected.
"We will not be giving further details on Maria or her employment, except to say that the duke and duchess are of course delighted she has chosen to join them."
Norland College is a world-famous childcare training centre and its nannies are a familiar sight around Bath because of their distinctive traditional beige and dark brown uniforms.
Prince George was born in London on July 22 last year, and christened last October.
