Travel plans and the return to work for some were thrown into further chaos today as continued flooding problems hit rail travellers.
Engineering works planned over the Christmas break have overrun hitting many services running through Bath Spa Station.
Services running through Bath were severely disrupted with a number of trains cancelled and others delayed.
Trains are not running between Reading and London Paddington and with only a limted bus service available, First Great Western appealed to passengers not to travel unless their journey was essential.
Passengers heading for Cardiff were also experiencing delays.
The main line between Exeter and Tiverton is still closed causing continued problems for passengers heading to Devon and Cornwall.
