Larkhall Athletic moved to within a point of Toolstation Premier Division leaders Bristol Manor Farm with a 3-0 success at home to Winterbourne United.
Rob Hobbs fired the Larks ahead after 20 minutes, capitalising when Jamie Lyons' free-kick from the edge of the box came back off the upright.
Tyler Sibbick doubled the lead before half-time after a fine run, and Lyons could have made it 3-0 but he could not keep his shot down.
Keeper Chris Snoddy was called into action early in the second half as Winterbourne rallied but Sibbick eased the hosts' nerves with a third goal late on.
The result – coupled with Manor Farm's goalless draw at Brislington – moves the Larks another step closer to what now seems an inevitable title win. They still have seven games in hand on the leaders and can claim top spot with victory at Radstock Town on Wednesday.
Former Bitton striker Mark Salter came back to haunt his old side when he scored twice for Street in a 4-3 victory at the Rapid Solicitors Ground.
Salter opened the scoring for the visitors but Bitton levelled through a Tom Morgan penalty after Aysa Corrick was brought down in the box.
Ben Amghar headed Street back in front before half-time but the hosts drew level again in bizarre circumstances early in the second half.
Goalkeeper John Rendell punted a free-kick forward from just inside his own half and opposite number Nathan Whatley misjudged the bounce, with the ball flying over his head and into the net.
Goals from Salter and Lee Smyth then put Street in control and although Corrick's long-range effort gave Bitton a lifeline, it was too late to affect the result.Odd Down returned from high-flying Gillingham Town with a hard-earned point after a 2-2 draw at Hardings Lane.
