Sex toy firm Lovehoney is heading back to our screens as a new documentary series goes behind the scenes at its Bath headquarters. The company, which sells one in three of every sex toy bought online in the UK, will be the focus of a new six-part series called Frisky Business, due to be aired by Sky channel Lifetime from March 26. Staff at Lovehoney were filmed for four months last year and the show, which will be shown in one-hour installments, looks at the different departments from customer care to returns. The show also captures Lovehoney's success at the 2013 Bath Business Awards when the company scooped the Customer Service Award and Best Business Website. Lovehoney was launched 12 years ago by former journalist Richard Longhurst and former DJ and record producer Neal Slateford. The pair now employ 130 members of staff and send out more than 20,000 parcels per week to customers across Britain. This is not the first time Lovehoney has been on television, back in 2012 it was part of the Channel Four series More Sex Please We're British. Mr Longhurst said staff could not wait to have the film crews back. "It's a really fun thing to be involved with and a bit unusual. It's also really good for the Lovehoney profile. "From the outside looking in people assume we all swing from chandeliers naked. What comes across is that we are a genuine, warm, fun and happy place to work. It's an interesting place to work with an unusual product area." Bath Spa University graduate Lucy Plummer, 23, started working for the firm two years ago and is Lovehoney's PR executive. Miss Plummer, who is not embarrassed about her line of work, said most people she speak to about her job have heard of Lovehoney. "My mum is jealous and my dad is very proud. I hope the show will make people see that you can talk about sex. If you don't work in the industry it can seem a joke talking about dildos the way other firms would talk about stationery." Frisky Business premieres on Lifetime, which is on Sky Channel 156, on Wednesday, March 26 at 10pm.
