Situated in the heart of Bath city centre it's fair to say that Moles is a major contributor to keeping that heart beating, having brought world-renowned acts from all genres to Bath for 35 years.
From the latest up-and-coming bands to established acts and cutting edge DJs from the world of dance music, Moles has always just had the one remit – to push and support great new music both on a local and national level.
Tom Maddicott, managing director, said: "The list of artists who have played here reads like a who's who of music of the last 35 years, with most of the big bands and DJs having played here at some point – from the early days with bands like The Cure and The Smiths through to recent times with acts like The Vaccines, Laura Marling, Mumford & Sons and Annie Mac.
"Recent awards from NME and BBC6 Music show that the club is recognised nationally as one of the best places to catch bands before they get to arena-sized venues, and also to catch some of those huge bands doing warm-up or secret gigs."
We asked Tom for his top five acts to have performed at the legendary venue.
He said: "I couldn't pick just a top five of gigs so here's a top ten – and even that was hard to do as so many huge names had to be left out: The Cure, The Smiths, Oasis, Radiohead, The Killers, Eurythmics, Annie Mac, Blur, Mumford & Sons and Massive Attack."
